Overview: Seafood Academy is an introduction to the seafood supply chain, along with basics in seafood operations, marketing and merchandising. Seafood Academy consists of several online video modules. This program is designed for new and existing personnel working in seafood production, processing, distribution, retail, and foodservice. CQ Foods built this curriculum based on feedback from clients wanting to improve operations and increase employee knowledge of the industry. CQ Foods founders 100+ years of hands-on experience and knowledge working across the seafood supply chain provides unique insights and expertise.
For Customer Consideration: CQ Foods works with each customer to modify educational content to address their specific needs. CQ Foods works with the customer’s operations and supplier partners when creating customized curriculum.
Program Highlights: Most courses have a pretest and post test. Employees sign in. Take a 5 to 10 question pretest. Watch the individual module video. Take the post test. Results of pre and post tests are available for managers to see how well they are absorbing materials.

Attendees will learn what a seafood profit and loss (P&L) statement is, how to read it, what impacts each line, and ways to improve bottom line results. Retail Seafood Merchandising (Module 4) - Attendees will learn many of the do's and dont’s of retail seafood merchandising. Examples of good and poor merchandising from around North America and the world. Best for retail fishmongers and distributors partnering with retail clients. Course Duration: 30 Minutes
